If you are having trouble searching for a route number, try these tips:
Do not use any route prefixes in your search. For example, to search for Interstate 5, search for 5, not I-5.
Do not use any punctuation or spaces. For example, to search for the proposed Mt. Hood Freeway, search for mthood or mounthood, not mt. hood or mount hood.
Route designations are not case-specific. Therefore, a search for 80n and 80N yield the same results.
A search for a route that may be duplicated will allow you to choose the route you want. For example, a search for 205 will bring up both Interstate 205 and Oregon Route 205.
For now, the search does not support searching for related hidden highway numbers. A search for 2 will bring up information for Oregon Route 2, not hidden Oregon Highway 2 (I-84/US-30 and US-730).
There are also codes that exist to let you search for "bannered" routes, such as Business Loops and Bypasses. Here's a list of them with some examples.
Alternative = alt. For example, 30alt will search for any Alternative US-30's.
Business = bus. For example, 20bus will search for any Business US-20's.
Bypass = byp or bypass. For example, 99byp or 99bypass will search for any US-99 Bypasses.
Spur = spur. For example, 86spur will search for any OR-86 Spurs.
Truck = trk. For example, 99etrk will search for any Truck US-99E's.
You can either put the code before or after the number. For example, 39bus and bus39 will return the same results for Oregon Route 39 Business.
In addition to route number searches, there are also a couple of unmarked routes that have special codes to access their pages. Here are those codes.
Historic Columbia River Highway = hcrh or 100
Mount Hood Freeway = mthood or mounthood
